Ms Jay Jeong turned around unpleasant experiences with front desk to an enjoyable stay

Special compliments to Ms Kay Jeong, Team Leader of the Guest Experience Management. I arrived at the hotel in the morning after a red-eye flight and I was extremely tired. Requested for a possible earlier check-in but was turned down flatly by the first front desk lady. She was unhelpful n simply told me to try again some time later. At about 2pm, I tried again but was just told curtly that room wasn't ready. I left the front desk disappointed n somewhat frustrated, then thankfully I met Ms Kay Jeong. She attended to me and was very understanding of how tired I was. She was extremely helpful, managed to help me get a room at about 2:30pm and gave a small box of chocolates to cheer me up. A little gesture that brought big joy. Throughout it all, she was very warm, helpful and profesional. She "saved" the day and made me decide to stay at the hotel again on my next visit to Jeju. Bouquets to Ms Kay Jeong!

Very nice hotel only ten minute from airport.

I like the heated pool most. I also like the long bathroom mat which is excellent after I step out of the bathroom. I also the breakfast selection which you can change to brunch and dine at level at 38 good for those that could not wake up early.

Very, very comfortable bed and pillow - literally makes you want to stay in all day. Spacious room, good water pressure in the shower, Korean spa was amazing, and exceptional staff service all around. Lots to eat, see and do within the hotel building. Close to Jeju Airport. Would definitely love to return.

Breakfast buffet at the Grand Kitchen had a good selection of food - however, the spread was pretty much the same every day with very minor changes, so you get tired of it after a couple of days.

I loved everything about the property , the moment we entered the hotel , the lobby was very magnificent, then when we arrived at the room it was just perfect , luxurious and spacious. All amenities provided and very clean, room smelled nice. Outdoor pool is very nice. I recommend this hotel for your stay in jeju island. Also very close to tub airport.

I didn’t like that we had to put down the curtains or otherwise we would be seen by the Visitors in the outdoor pool. There is a 200,000 Korean won needed to be deposited at check in as guarantee for the room and given back at check out.

Snowy Perfection in Jeju

This is the first time we have stayed at Grand Hyatt Jeju. It was truly a magnificent and memorable 4-night stay. When we checked in, the staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had an incredible view of the spa and the ocean. The room amenities were amazing, the tv had Chromecast so we were able to watch Netflix :). It was snowing during our stay in Jeju which allowed us to really enjoy the hotel's other amenities. There was an array of shopping stores, restaurants, games room, spa, available to the guests. We especially loved our dinner at Noknamu which is Korean BBQ. The food - BBQ, banchan and the way they served us the lettuce and perilla leaves in a box were spectacular. The Jeju Hotpot (Sichuan hotpot) was also a standout for us. The vegetable hot pot we had here was the BEST one we have ever had. The yum cha at China House was also delicious and flavorful. We also visited other little food and dessert shops, everything we ate was sublime. If you want to feel like a kid again, visit the games room. It had all the games you can think of. We had an issue with our room the first night, it smelled like smoke. We spoke to the staff, explained the situation and she made it possible for us to swap rooms (on a higher floor). We went out to explore and by the time we came back the room and key cards were ready and our suitcases in our room. It was such an easy transition. It was one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in, so we want to thank Grand Hyatt Jeju for making our stay such an unforgettable one. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jeju.

Fabulous weekend on Jeju Island

The room was spacious with a great view.Windows need to be cleaned. The shower was fabulous, and so was the bathroom. The staff were polite and courteous. One of the nicest hotels i've ever stayed in.

Worth to stay! Jeju is kind of boring and night life is so quiet. Good to stay here and enjoy the luxury instead.

This is a solid five star hotel with huge rooms and bathrooms, great restaurants, especially Nokmanu for Hanwoo beef, great facilities and great location in Jeju City Center.

Excellent luxurious stay

Shouldn’t have charged for dental kit and shaving kit replacement. But overall, the room is very clean, huge and luxurious. The housekeeping and room service is excellent too, food arrives within 20mins upon ordering and tastes so yummy.

Amazing 5* experience indeed

The BEST hotel I have stayed in and was so shocked by the price as well for a Hyatt. It was very affordable for 5*. You do have to pay extra for Korean Spa but thought it was a nice treat. The indoor and outdoor pool is free. Because it was in the city centre, there were loads of options for food nearby.

The ocean view isn't really an ocean view. It's so far away, it felt more like a city view and faf far away was the ocean so don't pay extra for the Ocean view.

Great staff , central location - comfortable rooms

Excellent stay with a group of girlfriend centrally located and easy to reach other parts of the island. We had a small hiccup at the check-in time because a Booking.com reservation was cancelled. However, the customer service staff at the hotel was very helpful and resolved it quickly.

Could have been a wonderful experience, but.....

Mr Jake speaks wonderful English and assisted with our check in (3 different room types) with patience. He upgraded one of the rooms as we have requested to be on same floor. He also arranged for a comfortable waiting area for us as the wait was almost an hour to make the arrangement possible. The spacious and comfortable rooms come with excellent view (35 floor) and the staff were generally friendly and patience. Special thanks to Yun and Hana at Jjimjil Bathhouse too.

On the day of check out (3 April 2025), we were told that we can only have our breakfast at 8am when the operating hours start at 7am. There were big group of students at about 7.15am. We were given a seat eventually as we have to leave to catch a flight by 8.30am. There were queues every station and it was crowded with noisy students everywhere (the capacity is at least 500pax). We cannot get our usual food and beverages for breakfast. Normally, hotel would have moved such big groups to a separate dining area so as not to affect regular guests. I am disappointed with Grand Hyatt Jeju. The bathroom has a drainage smell which the housekeeping was unable to remove it totally even after my feedback. This is unusal for a 5 stars establishment. There isn't any complimentary sitting area at the lobby. It was frustrating when we have no area to rest while waiting for check in/check out and while waiting for our driver. Pool is too small and there is no crowd control. Families were splashing everywhere and crossing each other's swimming path, this could be a safety hazzard when there are young children and reckless swimmers.
